BUFFALO — The University of Toledo women’s basketball team lost 73-63 to Buffalo on Wednesday night at Alumni Arena.
Kaayla McInytre made 8-of-12 from the field to lead Toledo (13-7, 5-4 MAC) with 22 points. She also had eight rebounds.
Mikaela Boyd and Sara Rokkanen had nine points each for the Rockets.
Summer Hemphill paced Buffalo with 19 points on 8-of-9 shooting from the field.
Cierra Dillard scored 17 for the Bulls (15-5, 7-2 MAC), and Brittany Morrison had 14 points.
Toledo made just 3-of-16 (18.8 percent) from the 3-point line and 21-of-58 (36.2 percent) from the field.
Buffalo shot 24-of-54 (44.4 percent) from the field and 5-of-16 (31.3 percent) from the 3-point line.
Toledo led 36-26 at halftime, but was outscored 47-27 in the second half.
Toledo held a 40-30 rebounding edge over Buffalo in the game.
The Rockets return to Savage Arena on Saturday to face Eastern Michigan.
