The University of Toledo women’s basketball team topped Eastern Michigan 63-43 on Saturday afternoon at Savage Arena.
The Rockets bounced back from a midweek loss at Buffalo to improve to 14-7 overall and 6-4 in the Mid-American Conference.
Nakiah Black knocked down four 3-pointers on her way to a game-high 21 points.
Kaayla McIntyre recorded a double-double for the Rockets with 14 points and 13 rebounds, plus three blocks and two steals.
Danielle Minott paced Eastern Michigan (10-11, 3-7 MAC) with 12 points, while Autumn Hudson added 11 points.
Toledo held Eastern Michigan to 18-of-65 (27.7 percent) shooting from the field and just 2-of-16 from the 3-point line.
The Rockets shot 25-of-54 (46.3 percent) from the field and 7-of-18 (38.9 percent) from the 3-point line.
Toledo never trailed and took a 9-6 lead after one quarter of play. The Rockets then outscored the Eagles 18-12 in the second quarter to take a 27-18 lead at halftime.
The third quarter was fairly even as Toledo outscored Eastern Michigan 19-17 before putting away the game with a dominant fourth-quarter advantage of 17-8.
Toledo hosts Ohio on Wednesday at Savage Arena.
