The University of Toledo football team continued its recent run on the recruiting trail by getting two 3-star commitments – defensive end Latrell Thompkins and offensive lineman Tanner Wigand – on Friday for the 2020 class.
Latrell Thompkins, a 6-foot-4, 240-pound defensive end from Denby High School in Detroit, gives Toledo its third defensive end in the class. He joins 3-star recruit Tariq Williamson (Akron East) and Jaelen Crider (Stow-Munroe Falls).
Thompkins is the No. 35 ranked player in the state of Michigan according to 247Sports.
Wigand is a 6-foot-7, 265-pound offensive tackle from Lincoln High School in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. He is the third offensive lineman in Toledo’s 2020 class, joining 3-star recruit Garrett Schweibert (Patrick Henry) and Vinny Sciury (Massillon Perry).
Wigand is the No. 18 recruit in the state of Wisconsin according to 247Sports.
Toledo’s class is now up to 13 commits and is currently ranked third in the Mid-American Conference.
