Arizona Bowl: By the numbers

Toledo lost to Wyoming in the Arizona Bowl on Saturday 16-15.

The Rockets were coming off an 11-2 season, losing in the Mid-American Conference championship game. Toledo was looking to tie the program record by securing its 12th victory of the season.

15: With Wyoming driving for the winning score, Rockets’ cornerback RJ Delancy III was flagged for unnecessary roughness when he dragged Wyatt Wieland down out of bounds at the Toledo 42. The additional 15 yards for the penalty put the Cowboys at the Toledo 27-yard line.

38:59: Wyoming controlled the clock, nearly doubling the time that Toledo had possession of the football. The Rockets had the ball for 21:01.

7.6: Toledo averaged 7.6 yards per carry, but only ran 19 times to Wyoming’s 41 rushing attempts. The Rockets rushed for 144 yards, while the Cowboys amassed 170.
