Former University of Toledo women’s basketball coach Tricia Cullop spoke about her bonds with the Rockets while highlighting what’s ahead in her new position as head coach of the Miami (Fla.) Hurricanes in a television interview Monday.
“I’m so excited to get started,” Cullop said in an interview with the ACC Network. “The potential of this team really excites me. Beautiful campus, great academics, amazing location. I have a lot of tools to sell. On that side, I’m very excited.
“The tough thing was saying goodbye to my Toledo team. Obviously, the bonds that you form over a long period of time, if you’re doing it right it should be difficult to leave, and it was very difficult.”
