University of Toledo forward Xavier Thomas is entering the transfer portal.
The 6-foot-5, 240-pound Detroit native redshirted during the 2024-25 season. He will have three seasons of eligibility.
Thomas played in nine games as a true freshman in 2023-24, averaging less than three minutes per game. He scored a season-high seven points in a win at Miami.
Thomas attended prestigious Brother Rice High School in suburban Detroit, earning first-team All-Catholic League honors as a junior and a senior. He helped Brother Rice to a No. 1 ranking in the Associated Press Michigan high school poll during his senior season, as the Warriors went 22-2 and won the Catholic League and City of Detroit championships.
Thomas chose Toledo over offers from Central Michigan, Western Michigan, Miami (Ohio), and Tennessee State.
He is the fourth member of the 2024-25 team to enter the portal, joining Sam Lewis, Javan Simmons, and Seth Hubbard.
