Toledo hockey alumni game added to Winterfest slate

A team of alumni from Toledo’s minor-league hockey teams will face a squad of Detroit Red Wings alumni during Winterfest, the Toledo Walleye have announced.

The alumni game will take place at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 30 at Fifth Third Field. Rosters for both teams will be announced closer to the event.

Tickets to the alumni game will be included in Winterfest ticket packages sold to Walleye and Mud Hens Game Plan members. Tickets also will be available via Winterfest ticket packages sold to the general public, as well as single-game purchases.

Single-game tickets to the Walleye’s Dec. 26 game against Kalamazoo and the Dec. 31 game against Indy go on sale at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Tickets for each game will go for $50 club level, $40 field level, and $25 for field-level seats with limited views. Seats in the Roost will go for $60 for adults and $48 for children, with those seats including a buffet and two drink tickets.

Toledo Walleye unveil 'Back at Full Strength' motto for season

Packages that include both Walleye games and the alumni game will go for $110 club level, $90 field level.

According to the Walleye, 5,000 tickets have already been reserved for Winterfest by Walleye Game Plan members. More than 22,000 fans attended the first two Winterfest games during the 2014-15 season.
