Walleye will host Kansas City in first 3 games of Western Conference finals

The Toledo Walleye have punched their ticket to the ECHL conference finals, and the schedule for the next round has been set.

Toledo swept the Wheeling Nailers from the Kelly Cup playoffs with a 3-2 win in overtime of Game 4 of the Central Division finals on Friday night. The Walleye will face Kansas City, which closed out Idaho in five games with a 4-3 overtime victory Saturday in the Western Conference Finals.

Kansas City finished with the best record in the ECHL during the regular season and will have home-ice advantage. But the series will follow an unusual 3-4 format.
